San Francisco's adventure seekers and revelers have haunted Romolo Place for over a century. Our building has been home to speakeasies, brothels, and most famously, The Basque Hotel and Restaurant which served family-style meals at an incredible value to boarders and neighbors for decades.

22 years ago San Francisco rediscovered this hall as its newest incarnation: 15 Romolo. Our doors opened in June of 1998 and a reputation for entertaining quickly developed. This culture of hospitality soon led to the opening of the popular bars Rye, Rosewood, and The Cordial, as well as San Francisco's premier beverage catering company, Rye on the Road.

We take pride in honoring the legacy of The Basque Hotel, serving as both a local dining hall and destination watering hole. We believe in having a good time while doing what we love, and our tightly knit crew is always ready to provide friendly, attentive service for any occasion.
