Industrial > Industrial Coatings
Powder coating is the process of coating a surface with a dry powder using an electrostatic and compressed air method. The applied powder is then heated to its melting point, after which it flows and cures to form a smooth durable finish.
Advantages of Powder Coating
Powder coating emits no volatile organic compounds and produces no hazardous waste
Powder coated materials are very resistent to scratches, cracking, peeling, UV rays and rust
Powder coating can produce much thicker coatings than conventional liquid coatings without running or sagging
Powder coating overspray can be recycled therefore it is possible to achieve nearly 100% use of the coating
A wide range of specialty effects is easily accomplished which would be impossible to achieve with other coating processes.
