In 1971, our owner and founder, Case Van Mechelen, stepped out of his comfortable and stable career and started ADAPT Automation with his ideas of creating a company to automate processes in the electrical contact business. With success after success, he built his company to what it is today, one of the top automation companies in the world. Building a quality staff of engineers and assemblers, he took his company out to other markets, becoming involved with other commercial products, and in 1994 stepped into the automotive air bag business. Medical products entered into the equation and started his line of catheter manufacturing equipment, and has built hundreds if not thousands of tubing processing machines. Today, his son, Tim Van Mechelen runs the business with the same motivation as his father, seeking out new industries to lead his quality automation team into.
