ABOUT US:
Formed in 1999, BEE Consulting’s primary focus has always been to perform superior building envelope design for our clients and community. Over the years we have added additional services that round out the package of what our consultants can provide including full building energy analysis, window testing, air barrier design and testing, and infrared thermography. We provide architects and developers with full package designs on all building types ranging from municipal and educational to commercial and residential.

BEE is a group of licensed professional engineers, consultants, experienced construction inspectors, highly qualified fenestration and air barrier testing technicians and CAD drafters who have extensive experience in envelope details and materials specifications.

OUR APPROACH:
During the design phase, BEE will work closely with the Architect and Owner to create a set of waterproofing and air barrier design details for inclusion in the Permit Set. A Project Manager and Project Engineer will be assigned as well as a dedicated inspector and drafter. We have sensitivity to constructability issues and seek to engage the Contractor in order to refine the details and material selections.

During construction, BEE attends pre-construction meetings with the envelope sub-contractors in order to assure understanding of the materials and installations by the trades. During the inspection process, a running list of required action items will be maintained by our site inspectors via their Quality Assurance Inspections. All field testing will be fully coordinated with the Contractor. BEE will distribute all inspection and testing reports to the Owner, Architect and Contractor on a timely basis.
