The first thing you should know about me is that I believe in sarcasm and optimism. (Is that considered an oxymoron?) Plus, I'm often quoting movies and I sing... terribly and often. (You were warned.) Beyond that, I've been married to my best friend, Ron, for more than half my life and we have three grown kids, an Australian Shepherd named Shadow, who speaks in full sentences, and a sweet old cat named Bully, who was born under my daughter's bed. I also love Disneyland in December, and I'm somewhat obsessed with true crime, travelling, binge watching ALL THE SHOWS, and answering social media comments with GIFs.

I've always been an artist; drawing, painting, ballet, theater... As a second generation photographer, I still have the first fully manual photo that I photographed and developed in my dad's dark room at the age of 9. But like a lot of kids who want to be their own person, I fought it. I wanted to do anything BUT photography simply because that was what my dad and brother were both doing. I rebelled away from photography as much as I could. But my imagination and drive to learn about people, cultures and discovering beauty eventually brought me back to photography. And so I eventually returned... to the dark side. Now, I'm in my 10th year of business and I'm an award winning artist who's work has been published in photography books, blogs, magazines, lifestyle publications, as well as book covers.

I love to have fun and laugh a lot. I also prefer your images to have a more natural, truly authentic feel. So you'll discover that I like to give light direction and ask questions to help bring out your personality and create moments instead of poses. I'd love to hear about your photography needs!
