Foxy Management is a family-run operation led by Shelly and Jeff Fox. Shelly is a graduate of Baruch College, a certified public accountant and is responsible for the strategic planning of Foxy’s various business interests, and the lead developer.

Shelly has over 40 years of experience in dealing with real estate development, construction and property management. During his public accounting career, Shelly specialized in the real estate business, interacting with developers and property managers and becoming well-versed in the applicable laws governing affordable housing.

After leaving public accounting in 1980, Shelly joined an entity that contracted with various agencies of the City of New York, the largest of which was with NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). That contract began in 1982 and was responsible for employing superintendents, handymen and porters at thousands of City-owned properties.

Jeff graduated with a business degree from the Kogod School of Business at American University and then went on to graduate cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center. Jeff spent most of his law career as an associate in Skadden Arps’ mergers and acquisitions group. He is a licensed attorney and real estate broker.

Jeff’s business background in both accounting and law set the stage for his key role at Foxy Management, which began in 2009. In addition to working closely with Shelly on strategic planning and real estate development, Jeff runs the management company’s day-to-day operations.
