At the helm of this 174 year old agency sits Walter J. Joseph, a 44-year veteran of the child welfare system, who leads a staff of nearly 300. Under his leadership, Chief of Clinical Services, Dr. David Crenshaw, works with a team of social workers, case workers, nurses, direct care workers and program staff to provide therapeutic services to children and their families. Three Facility Service Dogs, Ace, Marshall and Elvis, complete the treatment team.

The Children’s Home is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for its exemplary adherence to human welfare agency guidelines.

In fiscal year 2020, the Home served approximately 400 children and their families.
