Wylie Fire Rescue's Fire Prevention Division's primary goal is reducing loss of life and property in our community. Our department's goals are achieved through a combination of activities including placing public education in the forefront, inspections of business, enforcing code compliance, and home inspections upon request.

Fire Code
The International Fire Code, copyrighted by the International Code Council, Inc., is hereby adopted as the fire code for the City of Wylie, prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire, hazardous materials or explosion in the city (the 2015 International Fire Code). Three copies of the 2015 International Fire Code, copyrighted by the International Code Council, Inc., are on file in the office of the city secretary being marked and designated as the 2015 International Fire Code.
