How much does it cost? This was a long thought about derision as most services such as the geek-squad charge you $150 with $100 of that non-refundable if the machine cannot be fixed, while Coronado Computers @ long beach more of a private business and prefers to keep things far we want you the client to be satisfied. The standard going rate for a Certified IT Professional like myself is $75 hourly but I feel that isn't comfortable to any of my clients. I prefer to do a flat rate of $70 for most services excluding the cost of parts and shipping, Some of the exceptions are VHS to DVD Conversion with a high quality disk with a customized label to its relevance and jewel case, this service is $15 per disk up to 10 for $10 a disk. The PC Training I prefer to do in 1/2 hour increments at $35.
What is this Theft prevention and recovery? Mainly it is for laptop computers but also works for desktop's as well. Today if your computer was stolen the odds of the police recovering it and returning it to you are less than 10 percent, in choosing to protect your computer with this service those odds go all the way up to 90 percent! As soon as you discover someone has stolen your PC you can goto any web enabled computer goto a website and mark it as "missing". Every ten minutes you will receive an update about its IP address, snapshots of the desktop, snapshots from a webcam (if any), files that have changed, and hardware changes. You may also remotely lock the PC, sound an alarm, and even give the thief a simple message to return it if you choose to avoid legal action. Basically anyone who steals your PC and gets online is already caught inside a ten minute interval.
What if you can't fix my computer? I go by the if I can't fix it its free policy. There is no point in charging someone for nothing.

PC Aid: Laptop/Notebook Power Jack Repair Service
Those pesky laptop power jacks are always breaking due to usage or accidentally tripping over the power cord while connected to the laptop. We offer power jack repair service to salvage that notebook, while trying to keep cost down by not having to replace the expensive proprietary motherboard. Gateway, Dell, HP and Sony sell their replacement motherboards for prices that range between $300-$700. Then you must add cost of labor for replacement and it could get too expensive.
So its easy to see that we can save you lots of money, our fee is $165 for power jack replacement. While not 100% successful due to initial physical damage or damage from a short (about 15%-20% of power jack repairs will need a complete motherboard replacement), it can give you a great shot at saving your laptop and money. If we fail to repair the notebook we due reduce the fee to a laptop diagnostic/breakdown fee of $105 due to the amount of labor in assembly/disassembly. Even with motherboard replacement we can usually find the part for less making it a worthwhile repair.
Our laptop power jack repair is available nationwide with our depot service, so contact us and arrange payment with us to continue. Then just take laptop and power adapter to either UPS or FEDEX and have them package item safely and ship it to us. After about two to three weeks we will ship it back with your box and you can have a working laptop again. (time can vary due to part shortage, but you will be notified)

On-site services are performed at customers location, ie. Office or Home. These services are billed at an hourly rate and usually contain a minimum, we do not normaly charge for travel time with scheduled calls. We offer PC troubleshooting, virus clean up, spyware removal, network services and data backup planning along with many other computer related services.
