David started in the motorcycle business as the service manager for Spinnin' Wheels from 1967 to 1973. In 1973 David opened David Brown's Sports Center for business at the present location and started out as a used bike store and service center. The original store was only 1,200 square feet and now is over 20,000 square feet under the roof. In 1974 Bultaco was taken on as a dealership. In 1975 BMW was acquired, then Kawasaki in 1978 and Honda in 1984. Eventually, the store took over all of the land and buildings here.
