In 1987, a group of 10 East Texas electric cooperatives pooled their resources to achieve a common goal: providing safe, reliable, affordable power to their members under the banner of East Texas Electric Cooperative (ETEC).

Today, over 30 years later, ETEC continues to take this mission seriously. Our board members work diligently pursuing a well-balanced, diversified generation portfolio that will provide stability for years to come. We invest in modern, efficient facilities and ensure they meet current environmental standards. And we continue to pursue innovations that will allow for the integration of renewable energy sources while preserving affordability and reliability. ETEC is proud to bring East Texas residents and businesses the power they need to get the most out of life.
