IMPACT Engineering has been providing customized solutions and condition monitoring services for clients for more than 25 years. IMPACT is constantly striving to expand into new markets, industries, and regions. Our primary focus is still to provide world-class service and consultation to our valued clients. IMPACT’s mission is to highlight developing machinery defects, minimize installation related problems, eliminate down-time and decrease unnecessary 'open & inspect' requirements to ultimately reduce overall maintenance costs with increased "results-driven" reliability.

Founded in Colchester, Connecticut in 1988, IMPACT Engineering, Inc. began implementing and supporting marine based Predictive Maintenance Solutions which formed the cornerstone for IMPACT's Classification Society approved programs. By 1992, IMPACT had moved its headquarters to Washington State to expand its opportunity base for travel in Asian markets as well as to Europe and to locally support the majority of the West Coast work. IMPACT was one of the first companies to be recognized by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) in April 1995 as a "Certified External Specialist" authorized to collect, analyze, and submit condition monitoring data per classification requirements. In late 1995, in an effort to provide Total Reliability Management services to our clients, IMPACT added Thermographic/Infrared Imaging and Reciprocating Engine analysis to our ever growing support services. The company's headquarters is located in Kent, WA. IMPACT representatives provide support across the entire USA, including Alaska, Hawaii, Europe and Asia.

In 2005 IMPACT Engineering Inc.became a wholly owned subsidiary of Flux Drive Inc, a diversified designer and manufacturer of permanent magnet adjustable speed drives and couplings for global niche markets.
