Welcome to Family Extension Foster Care & Adoption agency, (FEFC), a non-profit organization with its main office in the San Joaquin County. The organization was founded in 2006, with a mission and passion to work with the at-risk children and provide a safe, healthy and stable environment conducive to positive, lasting change. Without permanent nurturing relationships with loving and caring adults, foster children are far more likely to endure poverty, homelessness, compromised health, unemployment, incarceration and other adversities, after they leave the foster care system, than their peers in the general population. Armed with this knowledge, our goal is to provide a family environment to children who would otherwise be placed in institutional settings. Our main objective is to partner with adults in our communities who, like us, believe that children are our future. We can change their destinies by touching their lives one at a time. To that end, we seek out and recruit committed adults in our communities who are willing to invest their time and energy toward raising these children. We provide training and Approve Resource Families in compliance with state and county requirements. Once a home is approved, we continue to support the family by providing continuous education and open communication with the children and parents as well. Our “extended” families are the cornerstone of our success; ourResource Families are our pride and joy.
