Welcome to the Official Website for Fitties BBQ, AND still the "King of Highway BBQ".

It has taken a bit of time for us to start working on the page so please have a bit of patience with us. We are trying to make this page as informative as possible! We will not only give you the history of Fitties and Tx BBQ but we will also hope to give a few tips and tricks that can make you a force to be reckoned with on the pit!!

Fitties History



Fitties BBQ was started by James (J.O. Gratten) back on september 1st 1997. Along with his knowledge of the food industry he brought his experience of bbq since being a child. often I have heard him speak proudy with a big ol' kool aid smile, and the fact that he put his first brisket on the pit and smoked it when he was 8 years old. His brother Gary joined him in 2006. Gary himself was also a very experienced Pit Master! Since the opening of Fittes Bastrop Tx has enjoyed what some consider the BEST BBQ in Bastrop. anyone that knows BBQ knows the fame of Bastrop's BBQ. Here in Texas, Bastrop is one of the places considered the best places to get BBQ in the world and to be amongst the best here has been something that Fitties has enjoyed since opening. The food and hospitality is something you must come to experience!

Fitties is not only a place for lunch and dinner. We have what many consider to be the best breakfast tacos! These tacos are huge and taste like they were made by your MOM!! Fitties of course has the traditional brisket, sausage, chicken, beans, potato salad, and all of the other fixins'. so get here with an appetite. Oh and did you know that Fitties is very easy on the wallet??

And, while Fitties makes great slow smoked BBQ, there are many other items that can be ordered. Steaks, burgers, meat loaf, fish just to name a few that can be pre ordered. Fitties also does catering for any event. Special menus can be created for whatever your affair needs!
