Established in 1976, we are a family owned and operated business that spans three generations. (Check out our history timeline, which includes historical and family photographs.) We began as a hardware store, and in 1985 we became Foothill Mercantile where we have something for everyone- toys, puzzles, stuffed animals, candy, gifts, housewares, greeting cards, holiday items, and much more! We love our community and our customers, who have graciously voted us Best Toy store every year since 2009. We feel very lucky to have been a part of this community for so long- many of our customers came in as children, we watched them grow up, and they now bring in their own children.
We have become a destination for tourists and locals for the nostalgic, old fashioned feeling to the store. When you walk in the maple wood floors will creak, you might smell fresh made popcorn or fudge, we have an amazing inventory of 23,000 items to delight the eye, and the convenience of being a one-stop gift shop: find a card, find a gift, and we will wrap it for you!
