We are a small woodworking shop that has always specialized in small high quality jobs. We seldom build more than one of any item. Our customers are usually people that need a desk, table, or dresser in a specific size or style. The items shown on this site can be built with different types of wood or in different sizes. Our designs are usually simple, traditional, attractive, durable, useable, and repairable. Our projects sometimes combine features from several styles of classic furniture so most finished projects are unique.

As you might imagine, building items to individual specifications one at a time is a time consuming process. Dovetails, mortise and tenon joints and solid brass hardware are often specified. A project sometimes start with a picture or an idea. Antique reproductions are not usually offered. Our customers often wish to be involved in design and in the selection of materials and features. There may be a waiting list.

We build dressers, desks, tables, hutches, built in cabinets, kitchen cabinets, and sometimes even special doors. Kitchen cabinets, built in cabinets or closets are bulky and difficult to ship and install so they are usually only offered to customers within 100 miles. People call us if they can’t find what they are looking for or the quality that they need. Furniture can be shipped anywhere safely. It may be difficult to build items without making diagrams and discussing the project. We have sometimes found that two people can look at the same picture and see two very different things. There is a small element of risk involved so communication is essential.
