G2 Motorsports… Not Your Average Repair Shop
Group 2 Motorsports is a premium dealership alternative for BMW, Porsche and other European brand automotive Service, Maintenance and Repair. The skilled G2 team is also experienced and equipped to handle a broad range of Performance Modifications, Custom Fabrication and Restoration.

A little background; in 2001 a gentleman by the name of Joe English pulled together private investment with the help of some friends and started G2 as a dream project shop serving all makes and models – especially BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Mini and many more. Joe had an absolute PASSION for quirky European cars, lightweight rally cars and road-racers and of course, people. Once customers started requesting routine service, maintenance and repair for their daily-drivers as a one-stop solution, they already had a home in Group 2.

One such devoted customer was John van Rensburg and when Joe was ready to retire, John was offered the opportunity to acquire the business. Over the past 3+ years since then, John, Melissa and the core team have worked extremely hard to build on their experience and customer base. John’s passion, drive, determination and love for the Group 2 heritage shows in his commitment to the staff and the customers.

We were always devoted to a “What’s best for the car? / What’s best for the customer? / What’s best for Group 2?” approach to every new challenge.

The merchandise and bar area offer an inviting environment to wait with complementary Wi-Fi access. Don’t be surprised when a G2 team member with a free moment joins you for an espresso to chat about your car! It’s a bit cliche, but many of our customers become friends and we’re always eager to share our history and passion with you.

We’ll make you feel at home and oftentimes, customers drop into our Magnolia-area shop at random – just to say “Hi” and see what’s new!
