Susan is a licensed attorney and has held senior management positions in leading legal and financial organizations. She has served as Executive Director of a major urban synagogue, as a Board member of Roots of Jewish Reform, and is currently the Executive Director of the Jewish Cemeteries of San Francisco. Susan is responsible for all aspects of cemetery operations, from client services, fiscal management and staff supervision, to the strategic planning and implementation of the many services the cemeteries provide. She has a career-long commitment to organizing and managing community outreach and social action programs. As a Board member of Care Harbor, a charity whose mission is to bring health equity to underserved populations, she works with other professionals to remove the social and economic barriers to health care, to develop initiatives directed at the needs of the underserved, and to implement programs for those experiencing homelessness.
