Greg Hollister has been a musician all his life. He is a composer and a published songwriter. He received his bachelor's degree in music from California Lutheran University in 1978 and made his living as a professional trumpet player for several years.

In 1979 he began apprenticing with Jerry Brown, a veteran piano technician in Thousand Oaks, California. He has serviced the greater Seattle area including King County and Snohomish County in various capacities, both private and professional, since 1984.
