Kempo Karate is the smooth blending of two styles of Martial Arts systems, comprising of both hard and soft style disciplines. The "soft" style is the Chinese Martial Art of Shaolin Fist Way Kung Fu and is circular in nature, making use of the Five Animals of Shaolin: the Leopard, Tiger, Crane, Dragon and Snake. The "hard" style is an Okinawan Discipline that makes use of hard linear motions, known as Shotokan Karate.
