Founded in 1974 as a privately held Minnesota Corporation, Industrial Tool, Inc. (ITI) spent its early years primarily by providing process development and production tooling in support of the Defense Industry.

As we completed our first decade in business, it was becoming evident that there was a growing demand for specialized machining equipment for manufacturers in the automotive, turf maintenance, agriculture, construction and hydraulic equipment sectors. Beginning in the 80s, ITI became prominently recognized as an integrator of complex automated machining systems and a leading builder of custom machine tools.

The 1990s saw ITI begin to expand our focus to the development and production of automated machining systems, robust workholding fixtures, and complete turnkey applications, incorporating robotics and material handling in order to bring a complete systems approach to the marketplace.

Since that time, ITI has proven to be a reliable partner, a dedicated innovator and supplier of precision engineered machine tools and systems.

In 2012 ITI was purchased by Maruka USA to complement their offering and provide a more complete machining system solution. The acquisition of ITI by Maruka USA has proven to be a great fit, complementing their distributorship of machine tools, while preserving ITI’s proven capabilities and maintaining a strong customer base.
