During the Governor’s Stay Home order, we have had to make some service changes. Many of our services will still be handled as normal, but here are some that will be affected at this time:

POLICE RECORDS REQUESTS: All records requests can be made online. If you need to speak with records staff, you can reach them at 253-856-5800, Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, excluding holidays.

PROPERTY RELEASE: Property releases will be conducted by appointment only. Call 253-856-5899 to schedule an appointment.

FINGERPRINTING: By appointment only for original CPL applications. To make an appointment call 253-856-5800, Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, excluding holidays.

CONCEALED PISTOL LICENSES (CPL): We are now accepting applications for original CPLs, along with renewals and replacements. For an original CPL, you must call our Records Unit at 253-856-5800 to schedule a fingerprint appointment before you submit your application. For all application types, we are accepting them online or by mail. If you are submitting your application by mail, please do NOT include payment. Once your application is received a Records Specialist will reach out to you to explain how to pay. Additional instructions can be found here.
