Little Hoquiam Shipyard (LHSY) was established in 1971 by Howard Moe in Hoquiam, Washington next to the Little Hoquiam River. Howard grew up working on boats as a teenager and helped his father (a fisherman) build a fishing boat out on the coast of Washington in Bay Center. Howards passion and pride for building boats drove him to design and build some of the finest vessels on the west coast and has continued for over 50 years and continues today.At LHSY our employees take pride in their quality craftsmanship. We give them opportunities to grow, learn and become better craftsman. We strive to give our employees the tools, equipment and knowledge to do their jobs to the best of their ability. Our team contains decades of combined experience building boats from the ground up, strengthened by an unmatched pride and dedication to their work.
