In 1996, interior designer Blaise Bouchand fulfilled a dream to share his passion for The Art of French Living® in the United States. He established MAISON DE FRANCE® in Bellevue, WA, and has been providing interior decorating services from there ever since.


Born and raised in Paris, France, Blaise was drawn towards interior design early on. His aunt, a talented decorator in central France, lit the spark of home decorating in him at a very young age. As a student in Paris, he then nurtured his keen eye and spent hours in museums like the Louvre, absorbing the beauty in the exhibits and the architecture that surrounded him.


He spared no time in his younger years, working in Hospitality, starting out as a luggage valet and climbing the corporate ranks in the hospitality industry to become the youngest hotel manager in the country in 1992.


He also earned several culinary certificates in French cooking & baking from the prestigious École Ritz Escoffier in Paris. Here in the United States, Blaise is a founding member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art - Northwest, a national nonprofit organization advancing the practice and appreciation of classical tradition in architecture, urbanism and the allied arts.


MAISON DE FRANCE® is also a boutique showroom in downtown Bellevue, WA, featuring home furnishings designed and manufactured in France. Each object featured in the shop is curated by Blaise Bouchand, amongst a selection of the top 100 French brands for the home and garden.
