Mechanics Lab NYC was founded in 2017 by Keston Job. At a young age, Keston always had a passion for working with his hands. Whether it was working on one of his friends cars or doing small home repairs for family members, he was always the one people relied on when they needed assistance. After completing Junior High School in 2004, he was accepted into the machine tool technology program at Transit Technical High School in which he was first introduced to the machinist trade. After completing the 3 year apprenticeship program and still undecided on which path he should pursue, he went on to further his education at a local community college obtaining his Associates of Arts. From that experience he has realized that working in an office just wasn't his cup of tea, so he decided to explore what career opportunities were out there for machinists. He later on responded to an online ad for a pump repair machine shop in Valley Stream Long Island and since then he has worked with machine shops, pump repair companies and building management companies on creating solutions for complex problems in commercial, industrial and residential settings. Now he has branched off on his own to start a new path. And if it was meant to be it will happen.
