Monroe's Carpet and Furniture Inc, was founded in Rockport Texas, by Billy Dean Monroe at age twenty two. He originally started Monroe's as a surplus store. Dean bought and sold new and used furniture and surplus from a small 500 square foot building for about two years. As time went by he also recognized a market for flooring in Rockport and the surrounding area. Eventually this evolved into a one stop shopping retail store.

Offering a La-z-boy showcase, Temp-Pedic, Serta mattresses, Vaughn Bassett Bedroom sets, and Shaw flooring along with other major brands of floor coverings. We are still here in Rockport, offering our valuable and loyal customers the best products we can find to offer, at the best prices anywhere around. That's why, "EVERYBODY GOES TO MONROE'S!"
