Peltons Solar Service started in 1983 in Grass Valley, CA. The owner, Bob Pelton, and his Service Manager, Tom Carter, have worked together for 30 years. Robert Pelton, Bob's son, joined the company in the late 90's. We pride ourselves on good relationships and longevity with our employees and our customers.
Bob Pelton started out as a one man "team". After moving his wife and kids from Southern California to Grass Valley in 1982, he decided that the only way he could do quality work with a good reputation that would follow him was to start his own business. He built a small office in the corner of his garage and off to work he went. As the years went on, he purchased a second home and transformed it into a business office and large shop. He hired his Service Manager through the local R.O.P. program. Tom Carter has now been with Peltons Solar for 30 years. Tom takes extreme pride in his work. His attitude and his friendly and professional demeanor will impress you beyond words. As Bob's son, Robert, was attending High School, he enrolled in the R.O.P. program and Bob decided to hire him and train him. Robert has been with Bob and Tom for 23 years and the three of them make up a dynamic team! You won't find a more friendly or polite and professional staff any where else!
