Saint Rita Catholic School is a parish school in the classical tradition. Classical education focuses on the Western tradition in terms of its historical narrative, its literature, and its developments in art, music, science, and religion. The teachers convey their lessons using narrative, nature, literature, and primary sources to tell the story of their designated time period in an ongoing conversation with their class. Classical education emphasizes the ability to read, write, and think well. This is done through a progression of skills that are matched to the age and ability of students – from memorization to analysis to expression. A classical education also imbues students with a particular sort of attitude or mindset – one of wonder and appreciation for God’s creation, a desire for goodness, truth, and beauty, and a sense of how to live a virtuous life.

Our school, staffed entirely by practicing Catholics, prioritizes the spiritual formation of our students and fosters each child’s relationship with God. All of our students attend school Mass every week and participate in weekly Eucharistic Adoration and Confession as well.
