This is the Title 24, part 6, of the California Building Standards Code. These energy standards are applicable both to residential and nonresidential buildings inclusive of schools. Title 24 is made up of twelve parts that are all broken down to specific guidelines and regulations governing new construction, additions, ADU’s and remodels of buildings in California. The goal is to ensure the achievement of energy efficiency and preservation of both indoor and outdoor environments and energy consumption.
