Spiral Diner was opened in 2002 by founder Amy McNutt, out of her love for animals and the environment. On her 21st birthday, Amy had an epiphany to open a vegan restaurant. The idea was that if people could see that vegan food is delicious, then what excuses will they have not to give it a try?

Spiral quickly outgrew its original location, a small lunch counter near the convention center. The menu was considerably smaller. Back then, Spiral only had 5 employees! in 2004, we relocated to a larger location on Magnolia Ave. that grew to be our flagship store and a Fort Worth Legacy.

In 2008, we opened our second location in Oak Cliff. And in 2017, we set our sites in Denton. These locations, even larger than our flagship store, have become local staples.

In 2019 we spearheaded the production kitchen opening. Located in Fort Worth, where we now produce and distribute the vast majority of Spiral’s food and bakery items. We expanded our company-wide management team to include Samantha Ofeno named CEO, Parker Howard, named Executive Chef, along with Timm Clark, Noah Stephenson, and Quinn Ofeno, who have almost 40 years of collective Spiral knowledge. The company continues to grow under the guidance of the entire upper management team.

Spiral Diner is one of the most unusual success stories in the restaurant world. A vegan restaurant that started in Cowtown and not only survives but thrives.

Spiral is for lovers.
