Stett's Iron Horse Ranch was founded in 1995 by Mark Stettler (Stett). He is a graduate of Motorcycle Mechanics Institiute (MMI) and a factory certified Harley-Davidson Master Technician; he was a top student in his first 7 clinics (scoring perfect in both 2- and 4-stroke Performance), was the Top Graduate in the Early Model Class (scoring the highest score in the history of MMI on the Early Model Final), and Top Graduate in Late Model Electives #410. Three weeks before his graduation from MMI, he was hired by San Diego Harley-Davidson, where he worked for 4 years as an engine builder and machinist. During his time at the dealership, Stett completed all required Update Classes, in Milwaukee and Phoenix (including Engine 1 & 2, Chassis & Suspension, and Electrical Systems).

Stett has countless hours of experience working on Harley-Davidson engines and motorcycles. In addition, he has hand-built over 100 custom Harley-Davidson motorcycles for clients. Mark Stettler has worked on motorcycles for 40 years (both Harley and other makes). He is an official dealer for many high quality Harley-Davidson motorcycle parts companies.

In observance of his mechanical abilities and knowledge, Stett was recently asked to join the AHDRA Race Team of "Nasty Habit," by rider and owner Kinzie Boison and crew with well-known "Bonnie" Truett (of Truett & Osborn). Stett has also provided access to his technical knowledge by providing Technical Assistance on the book, Mechanics & Owners Guide to 1941-1959 Harley-Davidson O.H.V. Big Twins. He recently collaborated on VOL.2, now available at the shop and online at Amazon.com
