When Texas Art Supply was started in the early 1950’s, there was a very small arts district in Houston. In fact, there were very few businesses in the Montrose area where our first store was built. Since then, Houston has grown considerably to be the 4th largest city in the U.S. and Texas Art Supply has grown with it. Houston now has a thriving arts community and we are fortunate to be in the center of it, supporting visual artists of all kinds.
