When Vince Smith left Rockville, Maryland and moved to New York City in 1981, he never imagined how far his talent would take him. It was his dream to be the best and build a brand that was synonymous with prestige, popularity and quality. He landed in a busy salon in the Grand Concourse of the World Trade Center.

His pursuit of the highest quality service led to the realization of his dream in 1990: the foundations of his first business in Battery Park City. This marked the beginning of an era in which The Vince Smith Hair Experience would become an undisputed leader in style, fashion and beauty in New York City, with a specialty in hair color.

Possessing a unique vision, the multifaceted image creator takes time to listen to each client and discuss his or her wishes, goals and possibilities, guaranteeing that the final result of his artistic creation, not only reflects the identity of his client, but also enhances each client’s unique character.

With a passion for knowledge and education, Vince has become an expert in hair color and the understanding of how chemical services affect the physiology and biochemistry of hair. He, in turn, trains his staff which makes it possible for he and his team to achieve their clients’ desired results while maintaining the integrity and health of the hair with each service.
