Industrial > Industrial Equipment and Machinery
Since our first patent more than a century ago, USNR has grown from a small sawmill equipment vendor to the world’s largest supplier of equipment and technologies for the wood processing industry. USNR is best known for providing end-to-end solutions for sawmills and planer mills, including log lines, curve sawing gangs, edger lines, trim-sort-stack systems, dry kilns, and the optimization and control technologies that maximize the output and performance of that equipment. USNR is also known for its Coe brand products used in the manufacture of plywood and other panel products, and the Ventek brand for scanning, grading and handling of veneer and panel products.
With the acquisition of Söderhamn Eriksson of Sweden in 2015, USNR is now also recognized for its high-quality European-style log lines and edger systems, and for the Cambio debarker which was invented by Söderhamns Verkstäder in the 1950s, and subsequently sold many thousands of machines around the world.
In 2017 USNR acquired Mid-South Engineering, the leading engineering consulting company in the wood products industry in North America. With the extensive experience, expertise, capabilities, and knowledge about the industry that both USNR and Mid-South possess, we've established a cohesive force that can build a better result for our customers.
In 2021 USNR and Wood Fiber Group (WFG) merged to create the world’s most comprehensive supplier of the equipment, technology, and essential tooling used in modern wood processing facilities. WFG's leading products and brands include Simonds International, Burton Saw & Supply, BGR Saws, Cut Technologies, Global Tooling, U.S. Blades, Armstrong Mfg, Wright Machine Tool and The Simonds Tech Center for Saw Filer vocational training. WFG also represents several leading independent manufacturers of filing room machinery for the reconditioning of industrial cutting tools.
Today USNR offers the expertise and experience of hundreds of knowledgeable individuals working all over the globe. The combined team operates four facilities in the United States, three in Canada, and two in Sweden. The company also maintains additional local-language sales, service, and aftermarket support centers in Norway, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Poland, and Germany, and has relationships with agents in numerous other locations.
