Regional Occupational Centers and Regional Occupational Programs, which operate throughout the state of California as part of the Department of Education, were formed in the 1960’s to provide high quality career technical education to a large number of the population that cannot be provided for adequately, efficiently and economically by a single school or district. High School freshmen students through adult are served. High school students who take ROCP Courses to supplement their curriculum receive high school credits.
